Museum…

The Ulster Museum, first opened in 1929 (at it’s current location) , but closed 3 years ago for major renovation.

I remember going to the museum as a child, I was fascinated by it, it was my first experience of a museum. I loved seeing the dinosaur bones, the Egyptian mummy, and all the other artifacts.

The museum opened it’s doors again to the public on Thursday past. I couldn’t get down for the opening, but I headed down in the evening with Lorraine.

The new museum is so open and airy now, compared to what is used to be like. It would take quite a while to go round all the exhibits in detail, so we just went round the main ones.

It’s still free to get in, so you should take an afternoon and go for a walk around.

I got a new toy this week.

I have wanted a Lensbaby for some time. Finally got one this week, it is actually much more difficult to work that you might think, it will probably take some time before I can work it properly. Some photos to follow soon.

Photo of the Week…

So Autumn is well and truly upon us, and passing fast. It wont be long before winter is here, so before the colours of Autumn are completely passed I had to get some shots. Unfortunately I only was able to grab a couple this weekend, but hopefully I will get some more over the coming 2 or 3 weeks.

I woke up yesterday, and it was really foggy, so before the mist disappeared I grabbed my camera and headed outside. Decided to post both the photos.

Up…

I am a fan of most Disney-Pixar films. I saw the trailer for Up a while ago, and immediately thought it looked excellent. Earlier this week I headed with a few friends to see it in 3D. I was definitely not let down, and the film was even better than I anticipated.

In my opinion it is one of the best movies Disney Pixar has made. The animation is brilliant, and the script is fantastic, it is original and very funny. I wonder how they will top this one.

If you haven’t seen Up yet, I suggest you go see it, and in 3D if you can.
