I know I have said before how much I love getting a film back, anticipating what the photos will be like. I just got a film back that has been sitting around for a couple of months. I had no idea what even was on the film, let alone what the photos would be like. Here is one of my favourites from that particular roll.

That time has come once again, when I decide I don’t like my photography site. So I am redeveloping the website, again. While I redesign it, I wanted to put up a landing/under construction page, but not one of those cheesy ones. You know the ones I mean, with the road construction gear, flashing lights and a big yellow sign. No, I decided to go for something a little less tacky, even if it is only short term.

Sorry about the lack of a photo last week, I have just moved house and the only internet I had was on my phone. Everything should be back to normal now, so here is this weeks photo plus an extra one to make up for the absence of one last week.

A while ago I mentioned that I was going through my photographs from my trip last year and putting some more of them up online. Well this time last year I was driving up the east coast of Australia in a camper van. So this weeks photos are part of a batch of photos from the East coast of Australia, that I have just uploaded to Flickr.

The first is a photograph from just outside Byron Bay, NSW. It was taken from the conservation area just outside the town, looking back inland over Cape Byron, towards the town and the Koonyum Range.

The second photo was taken on the road between Smithfield and Cairns, in Queensland. The Qantas flight has just departed from Cairns airport, which is just a few fields away.

I started a full time permanent job a couple of weeks ago, so I don’t know how much I will be able to travel this summer. I am currently looking into various options, but whatever happens I will be in Northern Ireland much more, compared to previous summers. I predict that I will probably end up, quite often, at the north coast. So the Photo of the Week this week, is of Portstewart, taken from the strand looking towards the town.
