A hand saw & a beard

I was down at Open House Festival last night, shooting The Low Anthem, and Iron and Wine. It was a brilliant, relaxed show, really enjoyed it. It was also the first gig outing for my new camera, I was shooting at ISO 2500, and 3200, and it the quality is fantastic.

Fuel 2010

A few weeks ago I was shooting the going on at Fuel 2010, in Ballymena. I’ave been so busy lately that I’ve only just got the photographs online this week.

World Magnetic

Last night Metallica played in Northern Ireland for the first time since Antrim Forum in 1988, and what a show it was. In the round meant great views for everyone. Lasers at the start, fire in the middle, beach balls at the end. They played a great range of tracks, old and new. There were some surprise songs that I wasn’t expecting to hear, but glad they played, like Welcome Home (Sanitarium), and Creeping Death.

Great night had, and much better than when I saw them at the RDS in 2004. I am slightly jealous of those going to the second night in Belfast tonight, I want to go again!

Photo of the Week…

On Thursday night past, The Good Fight, had their single launch, for their track ‘Kick Start’. You can hear a sample of the song here on MySpace and watch the video for the song here on Vimeo. The lighting at the gig in the Empire was really awful, very intense red lights the whole night, making photography quite difficult. This photo is the only one that I was able to use without converting to Black and White.
