Recent Reads…

So as I mentioned I read 4 books in January…

•  Red Moon Rising – This is the story of the 24-7 Prayer movement, and the vision behind it. It has lots of wee side stories about prayer and some of the amazing things that have happened when people have prayed, a must read if you are passionate or want to be more passionate about prayer – 8/10
• I Am Legend – I saw the movie, and wanted to read the book because I heard the book explained things more, and is much more interesting. It was a good short novel, which I did enjoy, and it was much more detailed than the movie. I enjoyed the book. 7/10
• Blue Like Jazz – I have read this book before, I really like the way Donald Miller writes, he writes in a way the is really down to earth, but really gets you thinking. I remember reading it a few years ago and thinking yea that was a good read, but when I read it again last month it was much better, it made more sense to me. I guess a lot of the stuff that Don talks about in the book apply more to where I am in my life at the moment. 10/10
• The Kite Runner – A novel set in Afghanistan about 2 childhood friends, how they get separated and the story of one of the kids lives… I can’t really explain very well without spoiling the book, a really compelling and emotional novel. 9/10
